On August 28, Jason Williams, a notable cryptocurrency personality, announced via Twitter that Armstrong has severed ties with Hit Network, BJ Investment Holdings, and all affiliated brands, notably BitBoy Crypto and Around The Blockchain. Armstrong had been the face of the BitBoy brand until now.
This decision has not been easy. However, after long consideration, we are confident that this is the only path forward. – Jason Williams
Cryptocurrency influencer, Wendy O, corroborated the news during a live stream for her substantial YouTube audience of 194,000.
In a twist on August 27, Armstrong hinted on his Twitter that TJ Shedd and Justin Williams had orchestrated an internal revolt within his firm. He acknowledged the murmurs while emphasizing that he wasn’t concerned about the brand’s future.
Just confirming what is going around. It’s true. There has been a mutiny at BitBoy Crypto & Hit Network. But it won’t work. They have no leverage. Until they can clone me, I have nothing to worry about. – Ben Armstrong
ZachXBT, a blockchain analyst, responded to Armstrong’s disclosure, probing if his “recent associations with dubious meme coins” triggered the upheaval.
Others alluded to prior internal disputes within the firm, with claims of some team members intimidating Armstrong by falsely alleging criminal cartel involvements.
